The Garner High School Drama Boosters are a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and supporting the drama program. The high school has always had a tradition of presenting outstanding performances due to the hard work., dedication, and support of all involved; our directors, the production staff, the students of the cast and crew, the orchestra, our parent volunteers, and the community. Our directors, along with their production crew put their hearts and souls into each and every production because they love what they do! If you ask them why they do it....one reason only....THE KIDS! The kids without a doubt , are the main reason why these productions are so successful. These students, who dedicated their time and talents have created a unique tradition here in Garner. Our "family" consists of a wide range of talents, from those aspiring to be actors and actresses, to the musically gifted, the athletes, the artists, the scientists, and the future teachers. The magic does seem to come from the directors' high expectations and the main ingredient is the positive perception of drama that fosters the dedication of so many varied and talented students!As parents of these talented children, we see how much they love being involved in the drama program. We would like to show them that we understand just how important this is to them and to support them in every possible way.
It's been said that "theatre gives children the chance to try on being someone else and by doing so, to discover a little more of themselves" As members of the Garner High Drama Boosters, we volunteer our time so that students will continue to have the opportunity to experience what being part of a "theatre family" can do for them. As the sayings goes, "all the world's a stage"; but someone has to build it! We would like this organization to include not only parents of current drama students; but also...- parents whose children have graduated, but who want to continue to promote the drama program- parents whose children have not yet reached high school or the middle school, but can't wait to get involved.- grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors- anyone who would like to help support the Garner drama program. - local businesses and individuals who love and support the arts in our schools!

The Boosters, as well as the students, appreciate whatever support you are able to give! If you can't be there to volunteer, you might consider placing an ad in our programs or becoming a patron.
